Your Team Is Busy. But How Much of That Work Actually Needs a Human?

A full calendar can make a team look productive. Emails are flying around, spreadsheets are being updated, customers are getting replies, and everyone seems to have more work than time. But being busy and doing valuable work are not the same thing. Look closely at an average workday and you may find something surprising. A good part of it is spent moving information from one place to another, answering the same questions, checking for updates, creating routine reports, or reminding people to do things. None of this work is useless. The better question is whether it still needs a person doing it every single time.
